Notes from the General Manager
Despite the stormy weather, the Club was busy in December with holiday activities. The Ladies’ Holiday Bazaar and Santa Brunch were big hits, as were the gingerbread house kits and holiday cookie sales. We ended the year with the east coast New Year’s Eve party, with North by Northwest playing all the classic hits for dancing.
We’re starting the new year with several personnel changes. We’ve bid farewell to Brion Lubach and are welcoming Andrew Ellis in his new role as Head Golf Professional. Andrew has lots of ideas to build upon our already successful program, so keep an eye out for changes in the Golf Shop and the golf operation.
Anna Greimes has been promoted to front of house staff manager, and Cesar Patino-Eusse is now the bar manager. Both of them will continue to provide wonderful front-line service in addition to handling their new manager positions.
The staff and I want to thank all the generous members who contributed to the staff holiday fund. Your donations are appreciated and tell us how much you appreciate the Useless Bay employees.
Now, on to the new year!
