Notes from the General Manager
We’re really pleased that the tent on the patio didn’t blow away in the big mid-November wind and rain! Luckily the biggest storm day was a Monday, which is typically a slower day for us at the Club. We’ve had a new generator on order for months and are just waiting for its arrival and for the electrician to set it up. Hopefully, we’ll have the generator in place before we need it again.
On the house side of operations, Chef Wayne has introduced a new vegetarian menu for lunch and dinner, and he continues to offer daily specials to showcase his and the kitchen staff’s talent. Trivia and Bingo are scheduled monthly through the winter, and attendance so far has been great. The Holiday Bazaar & Luncheon buffet is sold out, and we expect the Santa Brunch to fill too. These popular events fill every year, so remember to get your reservations in early.
While the recent weather has been challenging, the golf course is draining the best it ever has and we’re seeing lots of hearty souls playing regularly. Our membership numbers continue to grow, and we have over 50 names on the wait list for a Social membership. This is great news for the health of the Club.
I’m pleased to announce that Cassie Walker is our new front desk receptionist. Most of you know Cassie from being a server this past summer. She’ll still occasionally work events, but her full-time position is now at the front desk. Be sure to stop by and say hi to her.
Please remember to make reservations for dinner to help us plan and to provide you with the best possible service. And keep an eye on the monthly Chatter and weekly What’s Happening postings for new events!
Kindly,
Jason Youngsman
