Dear Members: 

So far this Winter we have survived windstorms, snowstorms, and a tsunami; these were some of the events causing Club closures for the safety of our employees. We appreciate your understanding. Despite the weather, the course is still in playable condition and is being enjoyed by hearty souls. Now that we’ve celebrated the new year, we look forward to planning the rest of our year.   

Our membership counts are holding steady – a phenomenon we haven’t seen in Winters past. We believe that is due to the improvements already accomplished and those that are planned for the near future. Examples of future Club improvements and membership enhancements are below. 

• With the Membership Committee’s focus shifting from increasing membership to membership enhancement, the committee is busy planning monthly member events, including music on the green during the summer.   
• The Finance Committee is currently working on the capital budget which will drive our capital improvements for the year such as continued replacement of aging greens equipment, men’s locker room renovation, entry signage, and landscaping. 
• The projects that will be funded from the proceeds of the refinance ‒ such as the tennis court renovation and new pickle ball courts ‒ are moving through the permitting and bidding processes. We hope to see some action on those and other projects very soon.   

• With the recent hiring of a facilities manager who will oversee the maintenance of the Club’s assets, we will see an improved level of maintenance and repair.   
• The Golf Shop continues to evolve. If you haven’t done so already, please stop by to see the changes. I think you will be pleased. 

We believe that all the above will provide an elevated member experience which is the goal of this Board. 

For the members who choose to endure winter on the rock, we can only hope that we have already experienced the worst of it! For those members who are wintering in warmer climes, we look forward to seeing you soon.
