The New Year has begun, and we have welcomed a new Head Golf Professional, Andrew Ellis. Together with Andrew and our leadership team, we are putting together the upcoming 2022 season.  

Our season consists of 24 Tuesday Competitions, some of them are part of a two- or three-part bigger picture, but they are also individual games. Our events that are included in the yearly dues are “Individual Match Play,” “Captain’s Cup,” “Club Championship,” “Criers’ Tournament,” and the “Aces Playoff.” For an additional cost, we have a 3-day Invitational and a 2-person event in August. It seems like once we begin, it barrels toward the finish. We also have a women’s golf team that competes four times over the summer and practices with instruction every Thursday. We close out October with 3 planned Tuesday competitions outside of our season. Now you are busy before you have begun! There will be opportunities for everyone to participate as much or as little as desired. You can plan to be part of all these opportunities. Sometimes we are reluctant to begin something new or join something already in place, but the truth is new faces and ideas bring a freshness to our group and we welcome it.

Maybe your glove will change the course of one our events… 

The youngest player to actually win a professional golf tour event was 14-year-old Lydia Ko. In  2012,  Ko took the title at the New South Wales Open. The glove that she wore can be viewed in the World Golf Hall of Fame.
